The Principal Technical Project Manager at Chegg is a senior-level role focused on leading complex technical projects within product development teams. Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of complex technical projects in partnership with program management, product management, engineering, and UX.
  • Maintain an embedded role within Scrum teams while serving as an organization-wide agile coach.
  • Mentor and guide other technical project managers and teams to cultivate a culture of agility across the organization.
  • Apply advanced critical thinking skills to drive transformative change and align organizational goals with Agile principles.
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across complex technical projects, developing strategies to manage potential issues.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in technical project management and Agile methodologies, leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of experience in project management and technical project management.
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and agile methodologies.
  • Experience driving product engineering projects and coaching teams in an agile framework.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as Jira Software and Jira Align.
  • Certified Scrum Master or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree plus twelve years of related industry experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as Jira Software and Jira Align.
  • Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent.
