The Principal Technical Services Engineer at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Mission Module (MM) equipment, specifically supporting the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Package Design, Engineering, Production, and Sustainment (DEP&S) Program. This role involves planning and executing lifecycle sustainment for Surface Warfare (SUW) and Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Modules, both ashore and aboard LCS Class Ships. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining schedules, managing projects, and providing technical guidance to ensure the successful operation of mission-critical systems.

  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with other organizations within Northrop Grumman and NAVSEA enterprises.
  • Manage and collaborate with government, military, and staff on project milestones and schedule development.
  • Ensure integration of major projects and program schedules across functional groups.
  • Research parts for technicians and customer representatives.
  • Review and coordinate with logistics personnel to provide feedback on equipment Allowable Parts Lists (APLs).
  • Provide technical advice on installation, adaptation, and enhancement of technical products.
  • Troubleshoot product issues and modify products to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide Distance Support troubleshooting on Weapons System casualties.
  • Develop Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW) for repair and overhaul of MM equipment.
  • Utilize Navy programs of record for maintenance management.
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in the sustainment of military systems and equipment.
  • US Citizenship and an active Interim Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including working in tight spaces and climbing ladders.
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Experience with equipment logistics and technical manuals.
  • Ability to supervise personnel in shop operation areas.
  • Experience with MFOM/AWN Job Development and Management.
  • Experience in embarking/debarking LCS Class MPs.
