The Principal Technical Support Engineer PHP at Providence is a remote position that plays a crucial role in the End User Computing team. This position is responsible for establishing the systems and processes necessary to define, implement, and track the configuration of the client computing environment at Providence Health Plan. The individual in this role will collaborate effectively with various business and IT groups across the organization to design and deliver a progressive, high-quality client architecture that adheres to security, software/hardware standards, and applicable regulations. This encompasses physical, virtual, and mobile client solutions, ensuring that the technology infrastructure supports the organization's mission of providing exceptional care to its patients. In this role, the Principal Technical Support Engineer will be expected to manage a large environment of distributed client systems, utilizing enterprise management technologies such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Endpoint Manager. The engineer will also be responsible for overseeing the integration and engineering of systems, including software packaging, patch deployment, and configuration management. The position requires a strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy, as well as hands-on experience with Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with desktop hardware, client virtualization, and mobile platforms, ensuring that all client solutions are optimized for performance and security.
