About the position

The Principal - Technology Transformation role at The Hackett Group is a leadership position within the Strategy & Business Transformation Practice. This role focuses on driving business and technology transformation by partnering with C-level executives to address challenges related to cost, performance, value, and customer experience. The Principal will lead consulting teams, manage client relationships, and ensure high-quality project deliverables while contributing to revenue generation and business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new practice work assignments and build relationships with existing and new clients through interaction with C-level executives.
• Ensure consulting teams produce high-quality project work deliverables for clients.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members for their career development and skills enhancement.
• Negotiate and close client engagements.
• Generate business development activities, including speaking engagements and publication of articles or white papers.
• Contribute to revenue generation.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience managing client relations, engagements, and business development for major consulting firms.
• Prior senior position within a top-tier consulting firm with responsibilities for consulting sales and delivery experience.
• Track record of building successful relationships with senior executives and delivering successful consulting engagements.
• Ability to generate add-on sales with existing clients.
• Experience in designing and directing engagements to successful completion while meeting time frames and specifications.
• Demonstrated record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets over a period of years.
• Experience speaking at large industry conferences and publishing professional articles or other publications.
• Strong educational background, with an MBA degree strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and promote staff members.
• Superior project management skills to manage multiple engagements effectively.
• Excellent written and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiating skills.
