About the position

As a Principal Designer on the AI Experiences team at SAP, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of AI-powered enterprise solutions. This role involves leading design initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior designers to create impactful and user-centric designs for various platforms including web, iOS, and Android applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate a comprehensive design vision and strategy for AI-driven products.
• Create and refine user journeys and interaction flows for intuitive enterprise workflows.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to deliver cohesive design solutions.
• Guide and mentor a team of designers, fostering creativity and innovation.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and maintain design systems for consistency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging AI technologies to ensure cutting-edge designs.
• Communicate design concepts effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or principal role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design expertise in complex, data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into intuitive user experiences.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring design teams with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
• Passion for staying ahead of design trends and pushing boundaries with AI.
