About the position

The Principal UX Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retail by leading the design of intuitive and accessible experiences for both customers and associates. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing Design Thinking methodologies, and presenting design concepts to stakeholders. The role is based in Bentonville, Arkansas, within a state-of-the-art campus, and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for customer and associate experiences.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners.
• Facilitate conversations and create concepts using Design Thinking.
• Run design sprints and build rapid prototypes.
• Present design rationale and vision to stakeholders and leadership.
• Craft intuitive and accessible experiences for users.
• Lead a program of work and ensure seamless collaboration with partners.
• Solicit feedback throughout the product design lifecycle.
• Engage with the design research team for insights during the design process.
• Create scalable experiences in partnership with the Design System team.

Requirements

• Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar.
• 5-7 years of experience in product design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing elegant and simplified design solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
