About the position

As a Principal Voice UX Designer at Oracle Health & AI, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative digital assistant experiences. This position involves collaborating with software engineers to create impactful conversational multi-modal experiences across various platforms, including mobile applications. You will lead the voice and dialog UX design, ensuring that the strategy aligns with best practices and the latest technology advancements. The role emphasizes a people-first approach, fostering a creative and energetic environment where diverse backgrounds contribute to building solutions that enhance user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop voice and dialog user experiences for various platforms, including mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, application UX, front-end developers, and backend AI/ML teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Independently design and prototype new experiences using platform tools and some coding.
• Work with the PM team to drive the roadmap for new platform capabilities that enhance assistant experiences.
• Iterate through ideation, prototyping, and productization phases in a startup-like environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in user experience design.
• 2+ years of experience with conversational design and implementation, preferably in voice-based applications.
• Strong understanding of best practices for voice applications and tradeoffs with multimodal display and interaction patterns.
• Ability to script and build simple prototype-scale experiences using platform tools and coding in languages such as Javascript.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working on Android/iOS Apps available in the App Store.
• Strong customer focus with experience working with enterprise customers and developers.
• Background in healthcare applications (consumer or provider-facing).
• Proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-level systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
