About the position

As a Principal Front-End Web Developer at Pegasystems, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and continuously improving multiple digital properties that facilitate the learning, selling, and buying of Pega applications. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to enhance the content editor experience and unify the design across Pega's digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create custom digital tools that assist customers in selecting the right product.
• Collaborate with technical writers and instructional designers to develop curated content for developers.
• Work with marketers, designers, and UX team members to implement a flexible design system within Drupal 8.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building large complex websites with a CMS and PHP.
• Experience with CSS pre-processors (Sass) and post-processors (PostCSS, Autoprefixer).
• Familiarity with task runners such as Gulp or Grunt.
• Experience with Twig templating is a plus.
• Knowledge of Atomic Design and component-based design systems like Pattern Lab.
• Experience with JavaScript and Web Components.
• Hands-on experience in planning, building, and maintaining large-scale responsive sites in a CMS.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities without sacrificing quality.
• Comfortable using Git and Drush.
• Understanding of web usability and a desire to learn more.
• Experience with Agile software development and Scrum.
• Active participation in the development community (e.g., Github, Drupal.org).
• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
