About the position

The Principal Worldwide Specialist - GenAI, Q Developer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a senior-level role focused on leading the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the Amazon Q Developer technology domain. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and sales skills to drive revenue and adoption across various customer segments, from small businesses to enterprise-level clients. The role involves collaborating with technical and business teams, providing thought leadership, and ensuring that customer needs are integrated into product development. The ideal candidate will be a customer-obsessed builder with a passion for innovation and a proven track record in business development and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global go-to-market (GTM) plan for Amazon Q Developer.
  • Orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams.
  • Create best-in-class field enablement and sales strategy based on deep domain expertise.
  • Support field teams in solution building for high-priority customers.
  • Bring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
  • Own reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and represent AWS at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant Go-to-market, Technical Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, or SaaS.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives.
  • Experience in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or Management Information Systems (MIS) is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment.
  • Experience developing, implementing, managing, and executing go-to-market growth initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AWS products and services.
