About the position
The Principal Data Scientist will play a crucial role in the Product Development team of a government consulting firm. This position focuses on assisting with product delivery by partnering with clients, organizing project initiatives, and enabling technical solutions. The primary goal is to drive innovative data science approaches into high-value offerings for clients by transforming business objectives into effective product solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with product delivery by partnering with clients.
- Organize project initiatives and enable technical solutions.
- Drive novel data science approaches into high-value offerings for clients.
- Turn business objectives into product solutions.
Requirements
- Masters or PhD in a STEM field.
- Prior experience in a technical role as a Data Scientist, Solutions Architect, or similar capacity.
- 5+ years of managing and delivering complex and technical products.
- Ability to plan strategies, implement objectives, coordinate activities and deliverables.
- Experience delivering multidisciplinary IT strategies.
Nice-to-haves
- Public Trust Government Clearance, or the ability to obtain.
- Cloud-based solution implementation.
- Project Management / PMP or Product Management / PMC.
