In this role, you will be responsible for integrating multi-level security and insider threat mitigation technologies, developing infrastructure and service management concepts of operations, and maintaining automation capabilities to streamline and secure technical processes. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, planning for capacity, and monitoring performance and service availability. Your responsibilities will include administering backups, diagnosing backup errors, and maintaining strict access control to all networks and IT infrastructures. You will partner with application, project, and security teams, as well as vendors, to plan, design, and implement new IT infrastructure. Additionally, you will manage client agents for server monitoring and server management, provide technical leadership and mentorship to 1st and 2nd level system administrators, and maintain infrastructure security standards for all systems while employing security hardening techniques. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining technical and detailed design documentation to ensure clarity and compliance with security protocols.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Typically, Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Linux and/or Windows systems administration experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • VMware VSphere (ESXi, vCenter, etc) experience.
  • Systems deployment, administration, performance tuning, and monitoring.
  • Automation via scripting.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) knowledge.
  • Multi-tenancy architecture knowledge.
  • Storage - NetApp FAS8000 familiarity.
  • Familiar with Windows Servers, Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Network and infrastructure services such as domain controllers, global catalogs, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity knowledge.
  • Critical thinking - ability to solve technical problems independently and with collaborative teams.
  • Proven understanding of datacenter concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to effectively provide direction for a multi-disciplined IT team to produce infrastructure solutions for large-scale, complex systems.
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • DevOps experience.
  • Cloud computing (AWS, Azure) experience.
  • Familiarity with Splunk & Centrify products.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Windows System Administrator.
  • BASH Scripting knowledge.
  • Familiar with Chef, Ansible, Puppet, CFEngine, etc.
  • ITIL Foundations and/or ITIL Service Operations knowledge.
