About the position

The Principal Product Manager for Home Growth at Roblox is responsible for advancing the strategy and vision for the homepage, which serves as a key discovery surface for users. This role involves optimizing user and creator experiences, understanding dynamic content, and maximizing the platform's long-term value while balancing the needs of users, creators, and various content types. The position requires collaboration across the company to achieve a vision that drives engagement and retention, leveraging machine learning and data insights to inform product design and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build a vision and strategy that delights users and creators and leads to industry-defining innovation.
• Map user, community, and platform value to traceable Home metrics and machine learning objectives.
• Deeply understand content demand, supply, and how discovery and machine learning recommendations drive that flywheel.
• Translate insights into creative product designs and solutions for new content types and verticals.
• Manage the product life cycle from planning through to launch.
• Analyze complex trade-offs to prioritize impactful challenges.
• Provide guidance to non-technical audiences and collaborate with experts in machine learning and data science.

Requirements

• Formal degree in a technical or applied quantitative field such as Machine Learning, Statistics, or Computer Science.
• 4+ years experience using mathematical modeling and machine learning/AI to solve business and product problems.
• 6+ years of product management experience, ideally with a consumer technology product.
• Ability to build products from first principles leading to industry-defining innovation.
• Experience balancing complex multi-sided marketplaces.
• Understanding of machine learning and strategy execution with cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in working with design, data science, analytics, engineering, user research, and product marketing.

Nice-to-haves

• Domain experience with user generated content (UGC) and social.
• Passion for defining the metaverse and strategies to grow it globally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
