About the position

As a Principal Software Architect at ASML, you will provide technical leadership in the development and optimization of C++ software for SEM inspection and metrology. This role involves driving innovation in software solutions to meet customer needs in the semiconductor industry, collaborating with various teams to define technical roadmaps, and leading algorithm development for Ebeam inspection and metrology.

Responsibilities

• Lead algorithm development for Ebeam inspection and metrology.
• Collaborate with product and software platform architects to drive infrastructure and architectural optimization solutions.
• Work with System Engineer to drive technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with product management and product architect to prioritize feature development and break down complex tasks in phases.
• Drive machine learning/deep learning development to support product roadmap.
• Make critical software design decisions.
• Act as the point of contact for internal and external customers on system level software requirements for assigned hardware platform.
• Lead the development team, providing hands-on guidance on design and implementation details.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• 7+ years of research or hands-on development as a software development lead, Machine learning engineer or related role.
• Experience in deploying ML solutions to customers is preferred.
• Solid skills in C++ programming.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Experience transferring technology from research in computer vision, image processing or machine learning into a shipping product.

Nice-to-haves
