About the position

Collins Aerospace, a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry, is seeking a Principle Systems Engineer/DevSecOps Engineer to work onsite in Huntsville, Alabama or Colorado Springs, Colorado. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the C2BMC DevSecOps team, focusing on the development and deployment of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities. This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance prior to the start date. As an Active Directory Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on automation, the candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Active Directory infrastructure. This includes leading the design and support of a highly available Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) infrastructure, monitoring its components, performing system health checks, managing configurations, and executing upgrades. The role also involves creating and maintaining scripts to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. The successful candidate will be expected to document procedures and follow best practices based on industry standards. They will manage a multi-site Active Directory 2016/2019 infrastructure, including Group Policy management, and implement changes to support project needs. The position requires effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying IaaS and PaaS capabilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Lead the design and support of a highly available ADDS infrastructure.
  • Monitor Active Directory components, including CPU, RAM, disk space, and critical services.
  • Perform periodic system health checks and manage configurations, objects, and structures.
  • Execute patching and upgrades for hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain scripts to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  • Document procedures and follow best practices based on industry standards.
  • Manage a multi-site Active Directory 2016/2019 infrastructure, including Group Policy management.
  • Implement changes to Active Directory to support project needs.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMware.
  • Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
  • Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Experience managing and maintaining a mid-large multi-site/multi-domain Active Directory environment.
  • DODI 8570 Requirement: IAT - Level II certification.
  • Typically requires a degree in STEM or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience in implementing solution designs compliant with Federal and DoD guidance.
  • Experience as a Senior IT analyst covering requirements analysis, system design, project management, and enterprise strategy.
