About the position

As a Principal at PayPal, you will be instrumental in creating high-impact and engaging user experiences, particularly as the company integrates advanced AI technologies into its products. This role involves collaboration with a diverse team of designers, engineers, and researchers to bring innovative ideas from inception to execution, impacting over 400 million consumers and 30 million merchants globally.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, engineering, and product management teams to execute and deliver PayPal's products and services.
• Contribute to planning and estimating work, participating in broader work stream coordination.
• Create high-quality deliverables based on product design goals and priorities.
• Leverage established product design techniques and propose new solutions or optimizations.
• Foster collaborative dynamics across disciplines and drive delivery excellence in product design.
• Mentor junior product design practitioners informally in best practices and methodologies.
• Rapidly prototype new user experiences and iterate quickly to develop testable concepts.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in UX or Product Design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, with experience in layout, typography, and color.
• Experience with motion design and storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to launch.
• Commitment to creating user-centric designs that prioritize usability and accessibility.
• A BA/BS or Master's Degree in design, user experience, research, or a related field is preferred.
