Job Summary The Print Center Manager coordinates the workflow and production of the Print Center. This position will assist in the administration of contracted copy center fulfillment work, overflow services to contracted DSG sites, and administrative support for those sites in need of purchasing assistance, copier sales support, and DSG training support. The Print Center Manager is a working manager demonstrating a high level of competency on technologies being used in the center, overseeing the goals of the center and advising on future needs, and assisting staff in meeting those goals. Responsibilities Manage the production workflow into and out of the Print Center Supervise employees performing work within the department Provide back-up services to our DSG sites when they experience a spike in volume, an equipment failure, or need for services not provided at site Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors Maintain expert knowledge of the PrismaDirect (or similar programs) workflow which provides customers access to DSG services through our web-access tool Oversee bindery and finishing operations Maintain facility security and job confidentiality according to established agreements with customers Present Print Center equipment, software, workspace, and processes to high volume customers Coordinate times to make Print Center available for sales Duties Coordinate all projects within the shop, ensuring all work is completed promptly and delivered to customer's satisfaction Coordinate labor to effectively fulfill contracted account requirements Coordinate DSG program purchases for sites Work cooperatively with Field Support/Supervisors to achieve program goals Provide price quotes as needed for work performed in the Print Center Create and maintain a workflow for all non-contracted work through the Center. Ensure that each job is: Entered into a tracking log and assigned a job number Accompanied with a customer authorized work request Priced is determined and approved (if needed) before print run Proofed and approved by customer (if required) Accompanied with a print sample in the job ticket. Quote projects for customer inquiries. This includes digital sheet-fed and wide format requests Provide accurate record-keeping and cost accounting for jobs produced and insure jobs are billed in a timely manner Train new operators to be deployed to the field, using Print Center equipment and processes as the model for technology and efficiency Help to grow revenues and profit by increasing customer value and capabilities The preceding is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
