About the position

The Print Pre-Production Team Member & Back Office Assistant is a part-time role focused on preparing and typesetting print production files while also handling various back-office administrative tasks. The position requires proficiency in design software and a strong attention to detail to ensure that client designs are print-ready and meet production specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Typeset and set up print production files using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Prepare and modify client-supplied designs from Canva to ensure they are print-ready.
  • Ensure designs meet print production specifications, including color, layout, and font consistency.
  • Coordinate with outsourcing providers to place and track orders for print jobs.
  • Update pricing and other data on the order platform.
  • Assist in general back-office tasks to support business operations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Basic knowledge of design principles, fonts, and layout for print production.
  • Strong general computer skills and the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a print production or similar environment is a plus.
