About the position

The Print Production Manager will lead and manage all aspects of print production and vendor relationships for a creative agency within a religious institution. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. The manager will oversee the print production staff and maintain strong relationships with print vendors to achieve optimal results.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, art directors, and designers to determine project specifications and resource needs.
  • Prepare and finalize design files, ensuring they align with project goals and production requirements.
  • Accurately scope and estimate all incoming print projects.
  • Monitor and manage time and budget allocations for each project.
  • Lead the print production team, promoting best practices and supporting decision-making.
  • Ensure staff has the necessary tools to succeed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for print vendors, handling quotes, sample requests, proofing, and final product reviews.
  • Attend press checks and ensure quality control.
  • Act as a liaison between the print production and design teams, confirming production specifications for all print jobs.
  • Oversee production schedules to ensure timely distribution of publications and printed materials.
  • Ensure all products meet required quality standards before distribution.
  • Maintain consistency across all printed materials, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Manage stock inventory and prepare revenue reports as needed.
  • Establish and maintain efficient production workflows and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in print production management.
  • Strong knowledge of print production processes and vendor management.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in OSX; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • A two- or four-year degree in a relevant field is desired.
