Stahls' DFC, a family-owned business and part of GroupeSTAHL, is seeking a Print Service Technician to join our team in Chandler, AZ. This full-time position operates on the 2nd shift and is integral to our digital printing department. The Print Service Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and upgrading our advanced digital print technology. This role involves operating a variety of digital printing equipment and supporting the printing of diverse materials using some of the most sophisticated printers available in the market. The technician will ensure that all printing equipment is functioning optimally, troubleshoot any breakdowns, maintain necessary supplies, and perform preventive maintenance. In addition, the technician will be responsible for calling for further repairs when necessary, ensuring that the digital printing department runs smoothly and efficiently. The Print Service Technician will load, run, and unload materials and jobs on both prototype and production digital printers, as well as support equipment. This includes processing orders and conducting audits of print products to ensure quality and compliance with safety measures. The technician will prepare and maintain an inventory of tools and printed parts, assist project teams in completing projects, and participate in group and project meetings. Compliance with health and safety policies, performance standards, and operating procedures is essential. The technician will also review equipment capabilities, communicate with project leads to confirm resource availability, and study schematics and blueprints to understand printer configurations and methods. In this role, the technician will be expected to record and report test results, notify relevant parties about defects or inconsistencies, and maintain the efficiency of machinery and repair instruments. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for trade school or post-secondary education. Experience in a similar environment is beneficial, along with knowledge of general computer hardware and software, and a basic understanding of printer fundamentals. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required, along with the ability to lift up to 20kg. Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus, as is the ability to operate and troubleshoot various types of printers. The technician will also be expected to travel to workshop locations, trade shows, and customer sites as needed.
