About the position

The Prisma Cloud Solutions Architect at Palo Alto Networks is responsible for building influential relationships with key technical decision-makers at customer organizations. This role focuses on educating customers about industry trends, showcasing security best practices, and acting as a technical voice for security and compliance in public cloud environments. The Solutions Architect will collaborate with sales teams and channel partners to ensure successful deployments and provide feedback to product management.

Responsibilities

  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Educate customers on industry trends and changes in the security landscape.
  • Showcase security best practices through technical proof of concepts.
  • Act as the technical voice of Sales for security and compliance in public cloud environments.
  • Develop relationships with technical teams in channel partners for successful deployments.
  • Provide customer feedback to Product Management and R&D.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of technical sales or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform security features and services.
  • Background in cloud security preferred.
  • Understanding of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DevSecOps practices.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to cloud security.
