About the position

The Prison Education Program Operations Manager at Shorter College is responsible for overseeing the operational components of the Prison Education Program (PEP). This role involves scheduling courses, providing educational guidance to students, conducting staff training, and ensuring compliance with educational standards. The Operations Manager works closely with the PEP Director and is instrumental in the effective execution of the program across various sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective execution of all operational components of the Prison Education Program (PEP).
• Schedule course offerings and curriculum for all PEP sites.
• Provide educational guidance and assistance for students by planning schedules and recommending courses.
• Track the advancement of students and follow the academic calendar.
• Conduct staff training and assess educational materials.
• Evaluate educational technologies and mentor new teachers.
• Ensure compliance with educational standards and accountability.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
• Experience with higher education, curriculum, and academic administration.
• Strong administrative skills to manage the PEP operation.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Google Docs, and Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in cohort management (lockstep).
• Ability to design training programs and workshops for faculty and staff.
