About the position

As a Privacy Analyst at R1 RCM, you will be an integral part of the privacy team, responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state data privacy regulations, particularly in the healthcare sector. Your role will involve assessing, monitoring, and investigating privacy-related issues, as well as educating staff on compliance practices. You will support the company's strategy to maintain a robust privacy compliance program, safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI).

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, investigate, and promote compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
• Document, track, and take action on data incidents related to privacy compliance.
• Ensure consistent application of sanctions for privacy policy violations in collaboration with HR and legal counsel.
• Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track privacy and data incidents.
• Work with internal teams to improve privacy practices and manage compliance enhancement projects.
• Support proactive monitoring and education on compliance with privacy requirements.
• Assist in annual compliance and risk assessments.
• Focus on risk mitigation and data protection to enhance quality and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Compliance & Ethics Program.
• Report to a diverse range of service lines and professionals, including senior management and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least two years of compliance experience, particularly in data and information privacy within healthcare
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to analyze complex compliance issues strategically
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills
• High integrity and ability to work independently
• Professional and ethical in handling confidential information
