About the position

The Privacy Analyst at Emory Healthcare is responsible for supporting the execution of privacy work plans, conducting privacy risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies. This role involves ongoing monitoring activities related to HIPAA privacy policies and procedures, as well as assisting in the investigation of privacy-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform privacy risk assessments and assist with recommendations.
• Assist with privacy breach risk assessments, documentation, mitigation, and notification activities.
• Maintain a privacy log and documentation.
• Assist with the response and investigation of privacy-related issues reported via the Emory Trust Line and to the EHC Compliance Team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or related academic certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a healthcare organization.
• Ability to learn project management methodologies, tools, and strategies.
• Skilled in oral and written communications.
• Ability to work as a team player to accomplish project goals.
• Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite programs for daily work and data input and retrieval.
• Ability to adjust to changing work demands necessitated by fluctuations in workload or program requirements.
