About the position

The Private Awards Specialist plays a critical role in the Private Awards Shared Services Team, which is part of the Private Awards Center of Excellence (PACE) at TNC. This position is essential for supporting the organization's operational excellence by optimizing people, processes, systems, and compliance in Private Awards administration. The Specialist will provide specialized finance and accounting services related to Private Awards, ensuring adherence to TNC policies and best practices in financial management.

Responsibilities

• Perform processes in the Awards Module of TNC's financial system.
• Assist in the production of internal financial reports for Awards.
• Ensure compliance with TNC policies, financial standards, and legal requirements.
• Reinforce consistency in organizational policies and procedures.
• Act independently under limited supervision and serve as a resource to others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Experience using automated accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional proficiency/fluency in English (written and oral).

Nice-to-haves

• Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience.
• Experience with the Insight Project Cost and Billing Module (PCB), Workday or other grant tracking systems.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Desire to work independently and solve problems.
