About the position

The Private Banker role involves coordinating the delivery of wealth products and services to high net worth clients, focusing on investments, borrowing, risk management, and estate planning. The position emphasizes holistic financial planning and aims to meet the company's credit quality standards while generating new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and grows a portfolio of important revenue generating client relationships
  • Delivers objective and sound personal financial planning and advisory concepts to defined Private Wealth Management segments
  • Generates external sales with new clients and screens leads to attain new revenue generating relationships
  • Provides lending services to Private Wealth Management clients, responsible for loan recommendation and structuring negotiations
  • Packages and presents loan proposals to appropriate approval authority based on client needs and bank policy
  • Gathers and analyzes financial statements of prospective borrowers and makes recommendations regarding approval
  • Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and delivers timely loan closing and funding activities
  • Negotiates terms and conditions of loans with clients
  • Maintains current financial statements on borrowers and prepares comprehensive credit files
  • Manages risk within the loan and deposit portfolios by monitoring delinquencies and other signs of credit deterioration
  • Actively monitors loan portfolio to ensure credit quality
  • Works closely with clients to identify financial needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Accountable for attainment of goals set forth by management for revenue growth and production
  • Teams with partners throughout the bank to generate referrals
  • Provides ongoing relationship servicing with current customers to maintain goodwill and gain additional business
  • Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate
  • Monitors, maintains, and updates sales activity and pipeline using sales management tools
  • Is active in community and professional groups for potential customer acquisition

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in business
  • 5 years of experience in related field, preferably in relationship management selling banking products
  • Series 7, Series 66 or Series 65 and Series 63, and Life and Health licenses for the state(s) where business is conducted are strongly preferred
