About the position
Aveanna Healthcare is seeking overnight nurses (LPNs and RNs) in the Farrell area, with a special need for third shift nurses. Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor or physician as appropriate.
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
- Participate in, implement, and update the nursing care plan.
- Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes.
- Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent or reduce risk.
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies and regulations.
- Provide care utilizing infection control measures according to OSHA standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
- Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession through continued education and training.
Requirements
- 6 months experience as a practicing nurse (New Grad Program available for recent graduates).
- Active and in good standing Nursing License.
- Current CPR Certification (Hands-on BLS).
