About the position
The Private Duty Nursing (PDN) role involves providing skilled nursing care to medically fragile patients in their homes, ensuring they receive quality care in a comfortable environment preferred by both patients and their families. This position requires flexibility in working hours, including night and day shifts, to accommodate patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to medically fragile patients in their homes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required.
- Experience with G-tube, trach, and vent care preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in home healthcare settings.
- BLS certification.
