About the position

The Portfolio Management - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst at Blackstone is responsible for conducting financial analyses and reporting for Private Equity results and strategic business initiatives, specifically focusing on Blackstone Infrastructure Strategies (BXInfra). This role involves enhancing the P&L forecasting process, constructing fund models, supporting fund launches, and managing presentations for senior management, all while integrating technology into the forecasting process.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and continually enhancing the P&L forecasting process, focusing on revenue & earnings projections and associated sensitivities.
  • Construction and maintenance of fund models for financial and capital metrics reporting as well as NAV projections.
  • Supporting all aspects of fund launch including creating/defining reporting and forecasting processes for new product.
  • Driving the integration of technology into the forecasting process and liaising with other business unit FP&A teams and other BXInfra functions to ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Managing the preparation of presentations and memorandums for senior management including both monthly reporting packages and ad hoc materials.
  • Supporting broader finance and investor relations teams during the quarterly earnings releases as well as on an ad hoc basis in dealing with clients and investors.
  • Leading the review and forecasting of operating expenses and coordinating with the BXInfra COO and various expense teams to maximize accuracy and visibility for stakeholders.
  • Performing special projects and ad-hoc business case analyses determined by the needs of Senior Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a quantitative discipline (preferred) and a strong academic record.
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial planning and analysis position; private equity experience a plus.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, Anaplan and Essbase experience an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects.
  • Strong technical, analytical, financial modeling and quantitative skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and keen attention to details.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic, professional integrity, a positive attitude.
  • Highly motivated and intelligent with the ability to work effectively in a team environment; proactive and takes initiative.
  • Ability to transform raw data into insight for the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
