About the position

The Private Equity Fund Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations for investment funds and the management company within an investment management firm. This role is ideal for candidates transitioning from fund administration or public accounting, providing an opportunity to gain in-house experience in a supportive environment that fosters collaboration and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial operations for investment funds and the management company.
  • Collaborate on analytical projects, including valuations and comparative analyses.
  • Oversee data collection from portfolio companies.
  • Support the investor relations team and Limited Partners (LPs).
  • Lead quarterly and annual closings and prepare financial statements, including drafting quarterly reports for investors.
  • Partner with Finance and Investor Relations on capital call and distribution allocations, and manage/prepare audit confirmation requests for LPs and portfolio companies.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of in-house fund accounting or audit experience in private equity.
  • CPA license is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Flexible team player capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in high-performance teams.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with PowerPoint.
