About the position

The Private Events Manager at Artisanal Brewing Ventures (ABV) is a pivotal role focused on driving taproom sales and business development while overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of private events across three Chester County locations: Downingtown, Parkesburg, and Kennett Square. This position requires a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience and a passion for culinary excellence. The Private Events Manager will be responsible for soliciting and promoting guest traffic through various marketing strategies, including advertising, cold calling, and building relationships with local businesses. The role also involves setting and achieving sales goals aligned with the taproom's budget, utilizing Tripleseat Event Management software to manage event inquiries and bookings, and being the primary point of contact for clients interested in hosting private events. In addition to sales and event management, the Private Events Manager will inspect event spaces prior to functions, ensuring that room setups, menus, and service staff meet expectations. They will greet clients before events and remain present throughout to assist as needed, while also monitoring and directing staff. The role requires active participation in weekly manager meetings to review upcoming bookings and event requirements, and the manager will be responsible for training staff on event execution standards. Flexibility in schedule is essential, as the Private Events Manager may need to perform duties on and off-site as required. This position is integral to maintaining client satisfaction and building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring that every event is memorable and meets the high standards of ABV.

Responsibilities

  • Drive taproom sales and business development through various marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of private events.
  • Solicit and promote guest traffic through advertising, cold calling, and building relationships with local businesses.
  • Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals aligned with the taproom sales budget.
  • Use Tripleseat Event Management software to monitor, track, and manage all private event inquiries and bookings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients interested in hosting private events.
  • Inspect event spaces prior to the start of each function to ensure compliance with BEO.
  • Greet clients before each function starts and assist throughout the event as needed.
  • Prepare and complete all necessary event documentation and billing using Tripleseat.
  • Negotiate final pricing and ensure payment is made in full after events.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and offer suggestions.
  • Respond to all client leads within 24 hours of receipt using Tripleseat.
  • Maintain detailed price sheets of all billable items and services.
  • Participate in weekly manager meetings to review upcoming event bookings and requirements.
  • Train staff on event execution standards and ABV Steps of Service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in private event management, marketing, hospitality, sales, or promotion.
  • Experience with Office365, Private Event Technologies, and POS Technologies preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform duties on and off-site as required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Adherence to safety policies and procedures of the worksite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Tripleseat Event Management software.
  • Strong understanding of the alcohol beverage industry and responsible consumption.
