About the position

Badger State Brewing Company is seeking a Private Event Sales & Marketing professional to join our team in Green Bay, WI. This role is pivotal in bringing people together in one of Wisconsin's top wedding and event venues, specifically the Barrel Haus, which has been voted Wisconsin's #1 Wedding Venue by Wisconsin Bride Magazine. The ideal candidate will possess extensive sales experience and will be responsible for engaging with clients interested in hosting a variety of events, including wedding receptions, tailgates, corporate gatherings, and charitable events, with the capacity to accommodate over 400 attendees. The successful candidate will demonstrate a self-starter attitude and possess strong marketing acumen, including experience in print media and social media content creation. Exceptional sales skills are essential, as the individual will be tasked with showcasing and selling the venue space to potential clients. A positive attitude, leadership capabilities, and refined communication skills are critical for reaching out to groups and individuals effectively. The role requires general on-site availability from Wednesday through Friday, with potential sporadic weekend work, while also allowing for off days and remote work options. In addition to managing multiple concurrent projects, the candidate will collaborate with the marketing team to creatively promote the venue online, assist with event walk-throughs, and support the Private Event Coordinator in signing contracts. The role also involves designing promotional materials for events and leading social media content publication timelines. A passion for Badger State Brewing and the craft beer industry, along with the ability to cultivate strong relationships both inside and outside the organization, is highly valued. Bartending knowledge or experience is a plus, as bar shifts may be available for interested candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to sell the Barrel Haus venue for various events.
  • Create and manage marketing content for print media and social channels.
  • Conduct walk-throughs and assist in signing contracts with clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events online.
  • Design promotional posters and hand-outs for events.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and event coordination tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of event sales experience, preferably in the beer business or hospitality industry.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple large events simultaneously.
  • Experience working with vendors, including liquor, décor rental, and catering services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic graphic design and content creation skills.
  • Bartending knowledge or experience.
