About the position

The Private Investments - Investment Analyst position at Wellington Management is a dynamic role focused on supporting the business management, investment oversight, and client service needs of private investment products, particularly in private credit strategies. The analyst will engage in a variety of activities including product management, performance analytics, client reporting, and collaboration with various departments to enhance investment strategies and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support Investment Directors and Specialists across product management and investment-related responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with senior members of the Private Investment team to perform analytical work supporting the management and oversight of Private Credit products.
  • Prepare and review fund documents, content, and marketing materials, including RFPs, for external clients and prospects.
  • Assist in the development and integration of technology initiatives.
  • Support sales and relationship management activities, including fundraising and investor due diligence requests.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, prospects, and consultants to communicate investment philosophy and performance.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience and progress towards the CFA are preferred.
  • A university degree with very strong academic credentials.
  • Working knowledge of and interest in Private investments.
  • Strong technical skills and mastery of MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to organize and synthesize data.
  • Solid judgment, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take a differentiated perspective.
  • Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in various communication settings.
  • Articulate with an interest in developing presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a global team.
