About the position

The Private Investments - Investment Analyst position at Wellington Management is a dynamic role focused on supporting business management, investment oversight, and client service for private investment products. The analyst will engage in various activities including product management, performance analytics, client reporting, and collaboration with multiple departments to enhance the firm's private credit strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the growth of a new business line within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support Investment Directors and Specialists across product management and investment-related responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with senior members of the Private Investment team to perform analytical work supporting the management and oversight of Private Credit products.
  • Prepare and review fund documents, content, and marketing materials, including RFPs, for external clients and prospects.
  • Assist in the development and integration of technology initiatives.
  • Support sales and relationship management activities, including fundraising and investor due diligence requests.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, prospects, and consultants to communicate investment philosophy and performance.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience and progress towards the CFA are preferred.
  • A university degree with very strong academic credentials.
  • Working knowledge of and interest in Private investments.
  • Strong technical skills and mastery of MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to organize and synthesize data to reach conclusions.
  • Solid judgment, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take a differentiated perspective.
  • Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings.
  • Articulate with an interest in developing presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a global team.
  • Creativity, thoroughness, and ability to prioritize.
