About the position

Doorstep Music Lessons is seeking passionate and nurturing private piano teachers to provide personalized music lessons in students' homes. This role allows teachers to share their love for music with students of all ages and skill levels, focusing on creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Teachers will have the flexibility to choose their own hours and locations, while the company handles marketing, enrollment, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one music lessons to students in their homes
• Create individualized lesson plans based on student's goals, interests, and skill level
• Instruct students on proper playing techniques, music theory, and performance skills
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and musical growth
• Maintain regular communication with students and their families to track progress and address any concerns
• Be active on social media and encourage students to participate in challenges, recitals and other development programs
• Professional and timely communication with students, families, and staff

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Proficiency in one or more musical instruments
• Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes for lessons
• Strong passion for music and a desire to inspire others
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of varying ages and skill levels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Teaching experience is a plus
• Experience working with children is a plus
• Experience teaching in students' homes is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or higher in music preferred, but not required
