About the position
The Caregiver position is a part-time role focused on providing companionship and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other needs. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, and ensure the safety and well-being of clients. This role requires travel to various work assignments and a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Engaging in social interactions and hobbies with clients.
- Monitoring safety and well-being, and recording progress or issues.
- Preparing meals and performing basic cooking tasks.
- Assisting with laundry and light housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- 2 years of caregiving experience with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
- Ability to assist with mid-level ADLs and senior care.
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of first aid.
