About the position
The PRN Community-Based Paraprofessional at Youth Villages plays a crucial role in supporting youth and families by providing transportation and supervision during visits. This position is integral to the organization's mission of implementing research-based treatment philosophies in children's mental and behavioral health, ensuring that families receive the necessary support and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Transports and supervises youth and families.
- Conducts and interacts in supervised visits.
- Coordinates transports and supervised visits.
- Maintains all appropriate contract-required documentation for transportation and visits.
- Provides required daily/weekly reports to the referral source and Youth Villages supervisor.
- Maintains professional communication with referral sources.
- Conducts ongoing assessments as outlined by the referral source and Youth Villages.
- Teaches and demonstrates parenting skills.
- Engages in required trainings to learn and maintain skills.
- Provides other support duties as outlined by the Team Leader.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's License and required car insurance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a related field preferred but not required.
