About the position

Youth Villages is a national leader in implementing research-based treatment philosophies in the field of children's mental and behavioral health. With over 30 years of experience, we are dedicated to helping troubled children and their families find success through a comprehensive array of programs and services. We are currently seeking a Community-Based Specialist for our Intercept program, which serves a diverse population of youth, including those involved with multiple child-serving systems and those at high risk of removal from their families. This program specializes in diverting youth from out-of-home placements by providing intensive home-based services to families, ensuring that youth can safely remain in their home environment. As a PRN Community-Based Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting Family Intervention Specialists by conducting family sessions, performing pre-admission assessments, supervising visits, and providing transportation for families. You will also be responsible for web-based documentation and may be assigned other PRN support tasks as needed. The position requires travel, with drive times ranging from 60 to 80 miles to meet with families across multiple surrounding counties. Interventions will be provided in families' homes or in the community, and the schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based around the availability of the youth and families served. To succeed in this role, you must possess a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle for work purposes, and auto insurance. Community-Based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage. Full-time positions are also available for those interested in a more permanent role.
