About the position

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position at Circleville Post Acute is a part-time role focused on enhancing the independence and quality of life of residents in a Long Term Care facility. The COTA will collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement personalized therapy plans, design engaging activities, and provide hands-on support to residents. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement personalized therapy plans.
• Design and execute engaging activities and exercises for therapy sessions.
• Provide hands-on support and encouragement to residents as they work towards their goals.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Keep accurate and timely records of therapy sessions and progress.

Requirements

• Valid COTA certification.
• Passion for working with long-term care residents.
• Ability to think creatively to make therapy sessions engaging.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, and team members.
