About the position

The Medical Assistant/Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMR) plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare staff and physicians by collecting essential patient information, performing radiographic exams, and assisting in patient care. This position requires effective communication with patients, maintaining cleanliness in the department, and ensuring efficient patient flow during exams and treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicates with patients to determine changes in health status since last visit, including medications, and records in EMR.
  • Assists in maintaining cleanliness and order in the department.
  • Responsible for all records and charting of information related to individual cases.
  • Performs all radiographic exams as required.
  • Collects patient histories and other related information, coordinating and communicating with others as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate and efficient patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
  • Maintains adequate supplies and equipment in exam rooms and other areas as assigned and prepares room after each patient.
  • Assists physicians, ARNPs, and nurses with patient care, exams, tests, and procedures as designated.
  • Accurately obtains and records vital signs, reporting abnormal readings as appropriate.
  • Performs clerical duties as assigned including assembling information for patient education, assisting patients with nutrition and toileting as needed, scheduling, and obtaining insurance authorizations for medication.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant education or experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or LMR
  • Active ARRT and KROC within 90 days of hire
  • BCLS certified
  • RMA, LMR, Rad Tech, RT, Radiology Tech, LMR/Medical Assistant
