About the position

The PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) position at Lifepoint Rehabilitation involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role focuses on developing specialized treatment plans to assist patients in regaining their well-being and independence following injuries or illnesses. The therapist will work collaboratively with a team to ensure comprehensive evaluations and tailored rehabilitation programs are implemented effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help patients regain their well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Benefits

• Weekend shift differential of $5.00/hr.
