Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of patients treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and occupational therapy students.
  • Assesses patients' needs and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions, collaborating with other team members.
  • Observes and evaluates treatment effects and recommends changes to the physician as needed.
  • Performs assessments and reassessments on each patient, ensuring timely quality improvement scoring.
  • Assesses patient pain and implements interventions to enhance participation in rehabilitation.
  • Ensures patient care is performed in a safe environment, minimizing the risk of healthcare errors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Oklahoma.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
