About the position
The Pharmacist position at Optum involves fulfilling Home Delivery prescription orders, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while providing essential medications and supplies to patients. The role is critical in improving health outcomes through the efficient processing, packing, and shipping of pharmacy orders, as well as monitoring and verifying prescription orders. This position is based in a highly automated facility in Oviedo, FL, and requires flexibility in working hours to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Fill and verify Mail Order prescriptions.
- Process, pack and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring all necessary supplies and educational materials are included.
- Monitor and verify all prescription orders upon dosing.
- Calibrate dosing pumps and pharmacy equipment.
- Perform drug/supply ordering and inventory/warehouse duties, including proper storage and refrigeration of products.
- Use pertinent data to identify and solve problems within the area of expertise.
- Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Fully Credentialed Pharmacist in FL
- 1+ years of pharmacy experience
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Availability to work Shift A (Sunday-Thursday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm) or Shift B (Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm)
- Willingness to work fully onsite in Oviedo, FL.
