About the position

We are a multi-specialty physical medicine office in Kansas looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join our patient rehabilitation team on a temporary PRN basis from after Thanksgiving through mid-January. This role offers 10-15 flexible hours per week, with the potential for a long-term opportunity after the initial period. Following a maternity leave in the practice, there's a possibility to continue as a permanent part-time member of our team, splitting hours and helping us continue providing exceptional patient care. Our clinic is dedicated to holistic, non-surgical treatment, focusing on the root causes of pain and mobility issues. We provide a combination of physical therapy, chiropractic care, and regenerative medicine to help our patients recover and improve their quality of life—without relying on opiates or controlled substances. We believe in quality, one-on-one patient care, and a team-based approach that includes collaboration between physical therapists, nurse practitioners, and chiropractors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations according to APTA and state standards, focusing on mobility, strength, and functional assessments.
  • Develop personalized Plans of Treatment with achievable short- and long-term goals, modifying them as patients progress.
  • Spend meaningful time with patients (60 minutes for initial visits and 30-45 minutes for follow-ups) to ensure thorough treatment and monitoring.
  • Work closely with our Nurse Practitioner and Chiropractor to develop integrative, non-surgical treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and resources for patients and caregivers to continue therapy at home and ensure a smooth transition following the completion of their treatment plan.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress, adjusting the plan of care as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
  • Active Kansas Physical Therapy license.
  • Current BLS certification with AED.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of patients with both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused, with a strong commitment to helping individuals regain their mobility and independence.

Benefits

  • Flexible Schedule: This PRN position offers 10-15 hours per week with flexibility during the holiday season.
  • Potential for Long-Term Role: There is an opportunity to stay on after the PRN period, with the possibility of splitting time after maternity leave, creating a long-term position within our clinic.
  • Team Environment: Work within a supportive, collaborative team where your input is valued, and patient care is the top priority.
  • Emphasis on Quality: Enjoy a setting where ample time with patients is prioritized, ensuring thorough, high-quality treatment.
