About the position

The PRN Registered Nurse Critical Care Float Pool position at Overland Park Regional Medical Center involves providing care to a variety of patients across different critical care units, including the ICU, ER, and Step-Down floors. This role is designed for experienced nurses looking to enhance their skills while working in a team-oriented environment. The position offers premium pay, shift differentials, and requires a commitment to work a minimum of six shifts every six weeks, including at least two weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the assigned department.
• Provide therapeutic and administrative services necessary for patient care.
• Care for acutely ill patients in various units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice or has an active compact license.
• Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS certification required; ACLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• At least two (2) years RN experience in an acute care hospital in Med/Surg, PCU, or ICU specialty areas.
