About The Position
The PRN RN Med/Surg position at Sagewest Health Care involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The role requires adherence to physician treatment plans and standards of evidence-based practice and care. As a registered nurse in this position, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing nursing care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients in the medical-surgical unit. This position is crucial in maintaining the safety and well-being of patients, and it requires a strong commitment to professional nursing standards and practices. In addition to direct patient care, the RN will be expected to document patient progress and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals. The role may also involve educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. The RN will be required to stay current with best practices in nursing and participate in ongoing education and training as necessary. This position reports to the System Director of Acute Care Services and is part of a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional care to the community.
