About the position
The Sleep Technician (RPSGT or RRT) position at Woodlawn Hospital is a PRN role focused on providing high-quality electrophysiological monitoring and diagnostic testing in sleep and EEG modalities. The technician will work in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and clinic environments, ensuring excellent patient care and service.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for electrophysiological monitoring and diagnostic testing in sleep and EEG modalities in inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.
- Perform screening, patient hook-ups, equipment interfacing, troubleshooting, and scoring.
- Conduct testing on patients ranging from 3 years old to geriatric age.
- Process charges and necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Education and training typically found in PSG, EEG, and/or respiratory programs.
- RPSGT certified and registered.
- Appropriately licensed/certified by the state of Indiana.
- PC literate.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Possess and maintain Basic Life Support certification.
