About the position

The Proactive Service Engineer at Cenero LLC is a key member of the programming team responsible for monitoring and diagnosing audio-visual (AV) system errors for clients. This role involves remotely troubleshooting complex AV systems, reviewing control system programming, and maintaining project documentation. The engineer must demonstrate strong communication skills and a professional demeanor while effectively managing multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a service alert board of client AV system errors.
• Remotely troubleshoot and debug complex AV systems.
• Determine severity, cause, and possible resolution of any AV system error found.
• Review control system programming and utilize code debugging tools to identify control code errors.
• Maintain software project documentation in the company database.
• Professionally represent Cenero clients showing empathy, patience, and competence.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude, strong work ethic, and embrace a team-centric environment.
• Complete training programs and gain certifications for manufacturers, industry associations, and company as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of one year of Crestron, AMX, or Extron control system programming experience.
• Familiarity with GUI design and graphics applications is required.
• Experience with control systems, video-conferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup, and calibration.
• A minimum of three years of on-site installation or commissioning experience is required.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, and VPN.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Lifesize, and Polycom video conference codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as changing priorities.
• Possess the ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Crestron and AMX certifications are preferred.
• CTS or CTS-D certification is preferred.
• Crestron CTI-P301 Completed/Passed.
