About the position

Attorney Paul F. Wright is seeking experienced estate planning and probate paralegals to join the team in our Dallas office location. The ideal paralegal candidates will have a minimum of five to ten years experience handling Texas estate planning and probate matters. The candidates must love estate planning and probate law, be compassionate, and care about clients. They should be able to manage a case load, be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and capable of drafting complex estate planning documents and probate pleadings, discovery, and orders. Teamwork is essential as candidates will work alongside other paralegals. The role involves preparing preliminary drafts of estate planning documents, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence for attorney review. Candidates will need to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Maintaining the calendar, deadlines, and reminders for the attorney is crucial, as is assisting in scheduling and preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the requirements for e-filing is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five to ten years experience handling Texas estate planning and probate matters.
  • Experience in estate planning and probate drafting for at least 5 years (Required).
  • Experience in legal document drafting for at least 5 years (Required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook for at least 5 years (Preferred).
