The Probate and Trust Administration Paralegal at Williams Parker plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys during probate proceedings. The paralegal will also engage with beneficiaries and next of kin, ensuring smooth communication throughout the probate process. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file probate documents including petitions, motions, and notices.
  • File life insurance claims and other death benefits.
  • Contact beneficiaries and next of kin regarding the admission of the will and probate hearings.
  • Administer estate accounts and assist with the liquidation and transfer of property.
  • Research law and local court rules to guide attorneys in estate decisions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in client service and project management.
  • Strong research skills and technical knowledge in estate planning and probate law.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems like iManage.
  • FRP and/or CLA certifications preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with EstateWorks and HotDocs software.
  • Knowledge of BNA 706 tax preparation.
