About the position

The Probate Paralegal will support the Probate and Trust Administration department at a nationally recognized probate litigation firm. This role involves a variety of tasks related to probate administration, including document preparation, case management, and court filing. The firm is known for its supportive environment and opportunities for advancement, making it an ideal position for detail-oriented candidates with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize intake and Estate Planning documents.
• Prepare initial drafts of Pleadings and Petitions.
• Prepare and serve Notice documents.
• Analyze financial statements and prepare Inventory and Estate Accountings.
• Prepare real property transfer documents and related county forms.
• Utilize the Court's Online services to investigate Case dockets, Probate Notes, and Local Rules.
• File documents with the Court, including e-filing and Ex Parte procedures.
• Prepare case files for hearings.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of probate experience.
• Strong knowledge of drafting and editing in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Ability to analyze financial statements and prepare Estate Accountings.
• Comfortable preparing Judicial Council Forms using case management software (Smokeball).
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
